How many slices is a round of toast?

(Adam Harwood) #1

I have been having this very discussion this morning and as they were all from the Midlands, they all said 2 slices is a round. But over here in Norfolk, a round is considered 1 slice - I even phoned me nan up on this one.

What are your guys thoughts on the matter? Does a round constitute 1 or 2 slices of toast?

(Matt) #2

1 = a piece of toast 2 = a round of toast

(DayC) #3

greater than or equal to 2 slices

(Gavin Rainey) #4

1 slice, 2 rounds of toast 2 bit

(Thom Haas) #5

1 piece of toast is not a round you inbred bastard

(Peter Woodberry) #6

As a southener, never heard of a “round” of toast. I would say a piece of toast meaning 1 piece of bread therefore multiple being # pieces of toast.

(Xenoscythe) #7

the fuck is a round, 2 slices of toast is 2 slices of toast

(DayC) #8

You’ve never used the term round? Not even in the pub?

(Van Slab) #9

i phoned up me nan she said xeno is correct

(Ben ) #10

(Sam Connolly) #11

A round is two, who the fuck thinks oh you know what I’ll have one slice of toast for brekky. No one, because one slice would only leave you half satisfied.

(Sam Hather) #12

I feel like your opinion is invalid since you don’t like salted butter.

(Thom Haas) #13

Prio doesn’t like butter anyway. How can a man survive?

(Sam Connolly) #14

Fuck off I’m not against salted butter you fucking moonbeams, don’t get me all riled up about this again

(Adam Harwood) #15

What have I done? Just add a bit more fuel to the fire…

(Thom Haas) #16

(DayC) #17

1014, a great year.

(Gavin Rainey) #18

(JadEasY) #19

We already knew the Welsh do things oddly.
